Film-making obviously came into my life by accident. It was rather a necessity resulting from having been entrusted with tasks related to running the Poltel Television Film Studio.
In those difficult days of political and economic transformation of the 1980s, against the prohibition of the authorities of Polish cinematography of that time, I undertook organizing the film production services of the series “War and Remembrance” for the American NBC station. It was my first experience and the beginning of a good education, which I received from great directors and producers not only from Hollywood. I left TVP due to the change of its management, but decided to continue this new, fascinating venture. Thanks to hard work, talent and reliability of the people who learned with me from the masters of world cinema, over time, we created a production house that contributed to the creation of over thirty Polish and foreign films. This list also includes a number of television series that gained enormous publicity and enjoyed considerable recognition among Polish audiences.
According to Waldemar Dąbrowski, the Minister of Culture, HERITAGE FILMS was the flagship of Polish cinematography and it will certainly be remembered for its productions, which, unfortunately, were impeded by the political and media struggle at the beginning of the 21st century.
